Mt Rainier with Reflection Lake in the foreground is an iconic location for many photographers in this National Park. This night was very cold with clear skies, snow on the ground and no wind, resulting in a perfect mountain reflection in the lake. There was supposed to be a meteor shower on this night & early morning, with 75-80 per hour shooting across the sky, but very few were visible. Even though, this view was well worth the early morning hours. Mt Rainier was officially established as a National Park in 1899 and is the highest peak in Washington State and the Cascade Mountain Range at 14,411 feet.
